	We provide some of the only full time professional Romans in Britain and are available throughout the year, enduring the British climate with authentic clothing and equipment. We constantly update our knowledge and equipment as archaeologists uncover new finds. On 20th April 2008, Rome celebrates its founding with a thousand Roman soldiers marching through the city and ancient forum. Rome is celebrating its Founders Day by inviting the very best Roman re-creation groups in Europe to march once again as Julius Caeser once did through the heart of the city. Chester, once the biggest and best appointed Military fort in the northern half of the empire is invited to represent the city in Rome, due to the quality and authenticity of its Roman re-creation team, the Deva Victrix (Chester Guard).
