Roman Fort Project

The Roman Fort Project was born from people who share that passion.

We want to reconstruct a full-sized Roman marching camp to be used as an educational facility to promote multi-period history, archaeology and heritage to school children from across the UK. We hope eventually to widen the project to become a base for experimental archaeology, historical re-enactment and all surrounded by a reconstructed historical habitat including rare varieties of herbs, trees and crops.

	We provide some of the only full time professional Romans in Britain and are available throughout the year, enduring the British climate with authentic clothing and equipment. We constantly update our knowledge and equipment as archaeologists uncover new finds. We pride ourselves on our historical accuracy and strive to make our presentations relevant, educational and fun for all age groups.
